Vintage Inspired Kitchen

This vintage inspired kitchen is in an adorable home in the coveted Alamo Heights neighborhood of San Antonio.  I collaborated with one of my favorite home builders on this project and I love, love, love how it turned out!  Alamo Heights is an older, established neighborhood, and even though this home is new construction, I wanted it to feel like it had been in the neighborhood for decades.

Isn't that slab of Calacatta marble amazing?!!  I love the yummy Rohl faucet in vintage bronze too!
I opted for marbles, tiles, paint colors and finishes that are indicative of the era that most of the homes in the neighborhood were built in.  All of the hardware and light fixtures throughout the home are antique brass.

This whole home is completely adorable! I'll try to get the rest of the photos up on here as soon as I can.   You can see a peek of the cute hexagon floor I used in the utility room in the image above.  It's darling!
Thanks for checking in on my sporadic posts :-/ which really just means that I've been busy and I'll have more fun stuff to show you! :-)
I hope you're having a great week!

Another beauty! Love the dark lower cabinets, lighter uppers, and all that hardware. Thank you for sharing your work, Maria! You have no idea how these kitchen designs help me live with a less than fabulous kitchen until the day we can do what we really want. You give me patience!

Maria,
I love the bar stools... where did you find them? Thanks for a peek into such incredible design!

Thanks Ruth! Those barstools are actually mine that I just used for the pictures. I bought them off of our previous homeowners and don't have a source for where they got them, unfortunately :-/

Maria, this kitchen is gorgeous! I see you use a lot of Carrera/Calcutta. Is is durable? How do people live with it without damaging it?

Naqsa, yes, I love marble and have Calacatta Danby in my personal kitchen. It isn't as hard to care for as most people make it out to be and it isn't for everyone. I've been asked this question a lot lately, I should probably do a post on this :-)

Thanks for reading Yvette! The charm in those neighborhoods is definitely hard to find. It's easy to see why they are so loved!

Beautifully designed and decorated kitchen, Maria! Would you mind posting the color used on the bottom cabinets? I am considering painting my bottom cabinets and looking for a nice dark color like the one you used. Thanks!

Love this Kitchen. What paint colors were used on the upper and lower cabinets please?
